FENG SHUI TIPS FOR KITCHEN

Good Feng Shui Kitchen Creates Harmony

In Feng Shui, the kitchen is not only the place where food is stored and prepared, it is also associated  with healing, wellbeing. The kitchen is sometimes consider to be the soul of the house. The kitchen is also the part of the home that both affects and is influenced by the mother energy of the home. The kitchen has all the important elements to keep members of the family together for love, patience, unity and compassion. It is very important to make some effort to ensure our kitchen enjoys a good feng shui, so as to bring luck to the members. Here are some ideas on how to create harmonious Chi in your kitchen to bring good luck to the entire household.

1

KITCHEN TOWARDS THE BACK OF YOUR HOUSE

Never position your kitchen near the front door. One of the best place to locate your kitchen is towards the back of your house. This will allow the good Chi to enter your house.

2

KITCHEN SHOULD NEVER BE IN THE NORTHWEST

Kitchen should never be located in the Northwest of your house because it will bring negative elements to the family. NorthWest corner of the house represents the place where heaven energy pours into the the house. Having a NorthWest kitchen will cause good fortune dissolved by the fire. However if your kitchen is already located there then try to move the stove or rice cooker away from the NorthWest of the kitchen. In other words, move any implement that causes fire energy to be created away from this sector. Otherwise the family breadwinner could lose his job, lose his wealth and worse, lose his health.

3

KITCHEN SHOULD BE WELL VENTILATED

Ensure kitchen is well lighted up, aired and spaced. Always let fresh air through. It should be kept clean to encourage a good energy flow. Stale kitchen fumes build up into adverse Chi, affecting the luck of the household.

4

TOILETS

If you have a toilet in your kitchen, ensure the toilet door  is kept closed at all times. Ensure that your toilet do not directly face your stove, as it will affect the food being cooked, resulting bad luck for the family.

5

WATER AND FIRE

For harmony, the stove or cooker which is fire elements should be placed some distance away from the fridge and sink, both of which are water elements. Any clashes of the elements, can result in quarrelling between family members. Ensure taht they are not placed opposite each other.

6

POSITIONING KITCHEN EQUIPMENTS

The wealth of family members is very much influenced by the way the family stove, oven or rice-cooker is positioned. The rice cooker that cooks the rice for a particular individual should always have its input energy coming from the individual’s auspicious directions. The husband's direction is always consider more important than the wife's direction.

The cooker or hob is an important appliance. It can be placed in the centre of the kitchen so that the cook looks out into all areas of the kitchen and is never started while cooking. If you place your cooker against a wall, and your back faces the door while you are cooking, you should hang a mirror above the cooker which will enable you to look into the room as you work.
