Feng Shui Dining Room for Good Harmony and Gathering

Good Feng Shui Dining Room Encourage Harmonious Gathering

A dining room might be the hub of the home. It is a place where family meals and entertaining take place with good food and conversation. The room should contain a table large enough for family and guests. Round tables encourage a more harmonious eating and socializing environment. Folding or extending tables are useful when space is limited. Choose comfortable chairs that relate well to the height of the table.

For Feng Shui practitioners, eating is an important activity and dining room should be planned with this in mind. Furniture should be kept to a minimum and oval or circular dining tables are recommended because they nurture harmony and balance both within the room and among the diners. The shape supports the energy flow and has what is known as a "gathering influence". Natural wood is recommended for tables and other surfaces.

Ideally eating and food preparation should be separated, so that the dining room and kitchen are apart from each other. Mirrors can be used to good advantage in the dining room, by reflecting food and diners they effectively increase abundance and wellbeing. It also stimulate energy flow which in turn stimulates conversation.
