ESSENTIAL OIL USAGE

Ways of Using Essential Oil

There are many ways to use essential oils. These are some of the method :

PERFUMES--The oils we create for you are ready to wear directly on your skin.  Pure essential oils must be diluted before applying directly on your skin.  For perfumery, never use more than 30 drops of essential oil to 1 oz of carrier oil.  In any other application, use no more than 15 drops to 1 oz of oil.

BATH--There are few pleasures as luxurious and beneficial as an aromatherapy bath. For better dispersion, use 5 to 8 drops of essential oil in a fixative such as 2 teaspoons carrier oil or 1/4 cup milk or honey. Mix well and add after bath is drawn. Close the door to prevent fragrant vapors from escaping.

  • For a foot bath, use 4 to 6 drops of essential oils.

  • Our customized bath oils are ready to use.  Just pour a couple of teaspoons into your bath.

NEBULIZERS--The nebulizer diffuses aroma on a refreshing current of air as it passes through an intricately engineered, glass chamber. Nebulization ionizes and naturally suspends very fine oil molecules in the air, making the essential oil more bio-available. Because the oil particles are so fine they do not condense and remain in suspension in the air for a longer period. This reduces consumption of essential oils.   No heat is used in the nebulizer diffusion process.

VAPORIZERS--Add 2 to 6 drops to the replaceable paper filter that many cool water vaporizers use.  We offer:

  • An aromatherapy vaporizer diffuser that is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 6 3/4 inches high. This unit runs quietly with a 2-speed fan and has replaceable cotton cartridges.  It is perfect for the entire living room or larger bedroom.  This vaporizer does not use water, just air.

ROOM DIFFUSER--There are a wide variety of diffusers and burners on the market.

  • Lamp diffuser.  Fill the lamp diffuser with essential oil and place the wick into the diffuser. Light up the catalytic burner and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of essential oil.

  • Candle heat diffusers that use tea lights.  They do a very good job of vaporizing and dispersing essential oils into the air. Use four drops of essential oils in 1 oz of purified water.

  • The Amrita Ball that plugs into an electrical outlet.  Use four drops of essential oils on its replaceable cotton pad.

CAR DIFFUSERS--Car diffusers allow enjoyment of the pleasant effects of aromatherapy while driving!  Remember, cars are small spaces, so a little oil goes a long way!

  • Increase alertness and energy with less exhaustion during long rides with Rosemary and Basil

  • Settle restless children with Red Mandarin.

  • Deodorize the car with Lemon, Lavender Extra or Cypress.

LIGHT RING DIFFUSION--Light bulb rings release essential oil molecules with the heat generated by the light bulb. Add 2 to 4 drops to the channel of the light ring.

AIR MISTER--In a fine-mist spray bottle, add five drops of essential oil per cup of distilled water . Shake well before use. Great for refreshing your house!  We offer 1 oz and 4 oz Cobalt Blue and Emerald Green glass bottles with atomizers.

CANDLE--Add three drops to melted wax of an unscented candle. Do not drop directly on flame, as most essential oils are flammable.

COMPRESS--Use 2 drops on a bowl of cold or warm water.  Dip cotton cloth onto surface of water and apply to affected area.

FACIAL OIL--Use 10 to 12 drops to 1 teaspoon carrier oil.

HUMIDIFIERS--Add 2 to 4 drops of essential oil directly to water or your humidifier.  You can also put 1 or 2 drops in a bowl or pot of hot water and inhale the steam.

INHALATION--Add 1 to 3 drops of essential oil to a tissue or handkerchief. Hold under your nose and inhale.

MASSAGE--Use up to 5 drops essential oils to 1 teaspoon carrier oil.

SKIN CARE--Add 15 drops of essential oil per ounce of lotion. Essential oils are especially well-suited for skin care since they penetrate easily and promote skin cell regeneration and rejuvenation.
