Q: What is aromatherapy?

A: Yes frequently. They use it in all kinds of things because its a buzzword. Many times, the essential oil constitute less than one per cent of  the entire product. Also, synthetics are used instead of pure plant oils. These oil can go rancid quickly because they are man made.

Q: What are the benefits of essential oils?

A: Essential oils have been scientifically proven for their oxygenating, detoxicating, soothing and anti-virus abilities. Aromatherapy works in two ways - smell and application. Inhaling essential oil is uplifting and makes you feel good. This is because the molecules of essential oils are rather small and they are easily absorbed by the skin.

Q: Are essential oil expensive to use?

A: It's wrong to say they're expensive because, used in small amounts there are very effective. If the oils are 100% pure, you only need a few drops to make them work. Apply in rotating movements to avoid absorption. Don't rub because you can irritate and desensitize the skin.

Q: What is the best time to apply essential oils?

A: Between 8 to 10pm. This the best time for the skin to rejuvenate itself.

Q: Can essential oil eliminate bacteria?

A: When you are in the woods and enjoying deep breaths of fresh air, the gentle and refreshing scent is known as "phytoncidere".  Phytoncidere is released during photosynthesis in plants and is anti-bacterial. Experiments has shown that amoeba or bacteria when placed next to a fresh leave will destroyed within several minutes. Apart from its anti-bacterial effects, phytoncidere also helps to reduce inflammation and enhance concentration as well as eliminating fatigue and improving mental alertness.
